Ever wonder what parts of an assembly are the biggest contributors to rebuild times? Well here is a quick tip to help you find parts & sub-assemblies, within an assembly, that have long rebuild times.
Using the Assembly Visualization tool in SW2014, you can sort all the components of an assembly using their Rebuild Time as the sorting property. Here’s how:
  1. Launch the Assembly Visualization tool from the Evaluate tab (or Tools menu). The default sort will Mass, to the right, select the arrow and “More”

  3. Last, simply click on the Column header to soft. Select the colored bar to the left to color your parts in the graphics area. Here you can see parts with a rebuilt time of 5 secs or more in red, others in blue.
